If you have reached this description from partition model, operation
model, or event diagram model, and you do not want to delve into the
state models right away, you can just take an an event to be a change in
an object that is worth modelling.


Read First: State Change

An event is a change in the state of an object that the user wants to
model.  States changes not designated as events are ignored, at least
during analysis.  The model does not need to contain every possible
change in the tuples of an object.
